Jerilyn, I went to the convention in AC twice when I was in college (pre casinos :-) ). I was a student member of the NJEA and we stayed in a dumpy hotel. It was the Traymore. We spent a morning at the convention and the rest of the 2 days we spent walking the boardwalk, buying James Salt Water Taffy, meeting old friends and making new ones. It was party time for us! I know my mother told me she had gone once when she first started teaching. My aunt told me she never attended as she didn't like the shore in the winter.
