Jerilyn, I have never played the game where you hit the ends of eggs together. My father-in-law was French and from La. There have been newspaper articles about doing that. He used to tell us the story about taking their eggs and knocking them together. The person without the cracked egg would win the other person's egg. I found that unusual and then after reading about it in the newspaper figured it was just a local custom. Surprized to hear that the Pa Germans did that, also.
