    3. Well it finally happened gang. I went to Jefferson Hospital yesterday and had my pacemaker/defibrillator replaced. I had to be there at 9AM and didn't get home until about 5:30PM. I was Stuck in traffic both ways. But all went well. My electro-cardiologist interrogated my old pacemaker and it seems that I didn't slip back into atrial fibrillation once ever since I had the cardio conversion. The good news to come out of this is that I no longer have to take coumadin. Boy I'll tell you I was sure missing my spinach, cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage. Now I can have it again. This pacemaker is a lot smaller and lighter than my old one. The Doctor sold me that it would pace my heart only when it needed it and not all the time as my old one did. This means the battery will last much longer. So now I have energy and can breathe much better. The whole process was a pain, but was worth it in the end. --- avast!
