    3. Normie, I don't know about the rose hips on the OBX but will check next month. Wish I was closer to you, I'd go out and pick all those blueberries. We used to have a summer home in Highland Lakes, NJ and the blueberries we picked there were wonderful! We have lots of blackberries around here but they aren't one of my favorites so I don't pick them. I'm resting up after having 3 of the grandkids for 2+ weeks! I may be lurking for a while. Sorry to hear about Robin's accident, hope all is well with her. Those berry patches were hot hot hot. I never made bayberries but always had them in the house for Xmas. I know on the outer banks of Cape Cod they have something called Rose Hips and I think they make candles out of them. Wonder if they have them on our Outer Banks, perhaps Kittie would know. > Norma > ----- Original Message ----- > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Cc: [email protected] > Sent: Wednesday, July 14, 2004 11:43 PM > Subject: Re: Fw: [NJ-Memories] Re: NJ-MEMORIES-D Digest V04 #82 > > > Well, we were kids and ate more than we picked. We worked about 4-6 hours a day, depending on how hot is was. We were lucky to make 2 dollars a day. But........we sure had fun! > Anybody evr pick bayberries and make candles out of them? 3. Kittie, I am lurking a little its in and out. I wish I was able to go to the OB and visit with you. Which grandkids are you taking? You were one of my memories people, and glad we always kept in touch. As Jerilyn says we are all family. Remember where we will be together someday BR. I will be there first. lol. Hope you didn't get any damage to your home with all that wind going up past us to Jersey. Our little tonado was not much for us, I pity our neighbor major damage. Don't want to see one again.
