Ellen - glad that oven fire didn't go into something big - I spent Christmas Eve at my son's - he made a roast eye round of beef, shrimps, spinach au gratin, roasted cherry tomatoes, rosted long sliced potatoes - bread pudding made from croissants with whipped cream --Christmas day at my daughter Gerri's house - on Christmas eve she makes the 7 Seas Fish soup - the children don't care for the Fish soup so she made a pot of Slovak soup - - I usually go there for Christmas eve but the past year and this year I go to my son's where my other daughter visits - Christmas day at Geri's we had roast turkey, roast crown of pork - mashed potatoes, broccoli - corn and limas, cranberry sauce - cakes and cookies -I tried a Heinekin beer but it was so bitter to taste - I am a Coors beer lover - I received som nice gifts = Last nite my daughter Betsy called me about 10 - when she arrived home the house was flooded - the washing machine hose broke -her landlady who is also her friend went out to fire house to get those large vacuums - luckily Donna is a member and firefighter of the fire house - This happened to me about 15 yrs ago - From that day on I shut my washing machine faucets off after each use - Well enough rambling - have a nice day -----Marie G
