Hi, Is this a southern thing? My husband wants me to cook spinach or greens Carl might get a kick out of this. When my husband asked me to cook greens I replyed green what? He said greens. I said green what? Of course this went on for a while. Finally I said what gensus and species are we talking about? Well anyway I thought it was funny. I refuse to cook greens etc. I guess that is my northern side coming out. My inlaws think the Civil War is still going on. Supposed to bring good luck and good health. My mom used to say if you ate chicken(fowl) on New Year's Day you would scratch (for a living?) all year. Down here it is pork and blackeyed peas for health and wealth. We will be having porkroast with saurkraut. May throw in some blackeyed peas for my husband.
