I was on crutches for about two months with that little injury. One big benefit: I was an ER nurse at the time, and having to deal with crutches myself changed my whole approach to teaching my patients how to use the darned things. First things first . . . how to get onto and off the toilet! I sure hope that all you injured people are getting better in a hurry. No fun having an injury at Christmas time -- or any other time, for that matter.
