We played it too but I don't remember what we called it. Cheap, quiet, and fun, what better of a game could you play to keep out of your parent's hair? I also played countless hours of Giant Steps[Mother May I?], red light/green light, and "statues". Hopscotch, jump rope and dodgeball were other favorites.Remember the humming lariats and baton twirling? Summer fun was catching lightning bugs, playing with cap guns, and having punks to keep the nasty Jersey mosquitoes away. How about sucking the nectar out of the honeysuckle? I played all those games as well as jacks and kick the can. Sucking the nectar from honeysuckle was great too. I showed my daughter how to do it and she was amazed. One of our ones that she said "Eeew" to was when they were tarring the street and we managed to get a small piece. We chewed on it like gum. Did anyone else do that? I still love the smell of tar. It brings back so many memories. Dot Ah,those summer memories... Jerilyn
