He had a Greenfield Filter implanted last year to catch them. That is just below the heart. He is also on Coumadin. Large amounts of vitamin K from these foods causes the coumadin to lose its effectiveness and clots can form again. Small amounts occasionally seem ok. Hope this helps a bit. 2. Ginny, Are you still with us? Just wanted to tell you that Fats Domino has a new album out called, "Alive and Kicking". His house flooded and he lost many possessions during Katrina. He stayed and people thought he had died or was missing. He evacuated either to the Superdome or to a spot they were picking people up at. Can't remember which. When he returned to his home a tv anchorman accompanied them. Really sad that he lost so many of his treasures. Not too long ago they were removing a few of his pianos, etc., to see if they could be saved and preserved. Pat

My electro-cardiologist interrogated my old pacemaker and it seems that I didn't slip back into atrial fibrillation once ever since I had the cardio conversion. The good news to come out of this is that I no longer have to take coumadin. Boy I'll tell you I was sure missing my spinach, cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage. Now I can have it again. This pacemaker is a lot smaller and lighter than my old one. The Doctor sold me that it would pace my heart only when it needed it and not all the time as my old one did. This means the battery will last much longer. So now I have energy and can breathe much better. The whole process was a pain, but was worth it in the end. > > >--- >avast!
