Oh dear, Judy-----I hope the Neurologist does not find anything bad in that ladder injury -Several years ago I was on a Library ladder ( working at the Library I retired from) - there were metal bars on the floor because we had compact shelving -the ladder moved on the bar and I lost my balance and toppled down - some land on their butt - not me - I landed on my head - no one was around then a fellow worker came - he called for help after finding I was conscious - I was taken to hospital - 5 times I was xrayed - every hour -----I had to wear a child's neck brace and I hate to see the size of an adult's brace - that gave me more pain to wear than the sprained neck I had - no injury to the head but I had a very bad headache - Marie G

Hi Ellen, Cook them in water with the onions till done. Takes about 20 min. we don't like them to get too soft. Hey! I even cook them in the microwave abt. 15min. Then drain and add the milk and butter S&P and reheat for 5 min. Betty, Belly flopping was the only way to go. We also had a large hill that we went down on pieces of cardboard, sleds, garbage can lids or anything else that would go. It was right over the heater in the basement. It was just a big grill in the floor in the dinning room. My dad would fire up the heater with coal before he want to work in the AM, and us kid's would run downstairs in the morning, and get dressed on it. There was no heat anywhere else in the house, only vents in the ceiling's for the heat to get upstairs. In those days, my Mom would heat bricks and put them at the end of our beds to keep our feet warm during the night. The good old days. Diesel

Glad the Vioxx is working Norma! Marie and Diesel, I hope you both are feeling better today. As some of you know I had a concussion 2 weeks ago after being hit with a ladder. I'm happy to report that the dizzyness and headaches are gone but I'm still battling a vision problem. That makes it hard doing geneology! I have a check up with the Neurologist on Tuesday.
