Husband ordered a pizza (I forget the name but he had ordered that in PA and liked it) and it came with a crust on top of which were slices of plum tomatoes and a few dots of cheese. From the look on his face, the waiter knew what was wrong. He said "Would you like some tomato sauce for that?" So he put the sauce on and you may as well say there was no cheese. No more experiments for him. LOL Dot 000---Outgoing email scanned by Norton Antivirus---000

    3. Diesel, What you re describing is a basic pizza isn't it? I realize some people called it by that name, but someone on this list said a tomato ie was made with green tomatoes. That's the recipe I'm looking for. Got one? -------Original Message------- From: [email protected] Date: 01/26/04 14:37:29 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [NJ-Memories] Tomato Pie In a message dated 1/26/04 8:17:14 AM Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes: > Hi, > Does anyone have a recipe for Tomato Pie? > Robin > > Robin, Here's what I do. I go to the local pizza shop, and buy their dough. They charge me $2.00 each, per pie. Then I put on can tomato's, olive oil, a few different kind of cheeses, some sliced pepperoni. Bake until the cheese is melted, and the crust is brown around the edges. Great tomato pie. 3. Well Robin it used to come in a big round wheel of cheddar and they cut it off in wedges and sold by the pound. It was really good Cheddar which is my favorite cheese. Got fancy at times and made bread and used that as a crust, bet it would make a deep dish pizza. 2. Jerilyn, Margate didn't get all the snow? We got hit here in Egg Harbor City. I grew up in Absecon, which is right on Rte. 30 and near the bay, so we had weather more like the shore. Sometimes I forget just how far I am from the ocean. We have more inland weather. Probably the same as you. I'm only 9 miles east of Hammonton. Vicki

    2. HI, It is beautiful outside today. Just got the kids and hubby dressed and out the door. My neighbor's son has a quad (four-wheeled cycle) with a plow on the front, so we have nice clean walks. And no one even had to get out a shovel! Enjoy the beautiful snow. I'll enjoy the quiet for a while, at least while they are all outside. Take care, Vicki

Our window from the living room is showing such a scene now.It is gorgeous .Quiet, sparkling white, and peaceful. No one has made tracks in it yet,all is calm and clean. Morning will bring happy sounds of children's laughter and sleds popping out of garages to hold bundled up babies.I can almost taste the hot chocolate and buttery brown-edged wafers.I can practically see the memories being made to pass on to the next generation..."Why son, when I was a kid the snow used to drift as hugh as our wisteria bush, and we would all go coasting down the hill on Dayton Ave.and glide right onto the frozen Newton Creek."[pronounce it "crick"] Jerilyn ,whose Jersey winter memories are vivid today. ============================== Gain access to over two billion names including the new Immigration Collection with an Ancestry.com free trial.
