    1. [NJ-Memories] Present - I am Present
    2. I am here - not too much going on - Holiday weekend and the Daytona race was on - I am so sick of falling asleep on TV programs -I am going to start taping - I wanted to watch Mel Gibson's take on his movie The Passion of Christ last nite -but fell asleep -But at least I got to see the Cold Case Files (suppose to be fiction) about the Philadelphia cases - this one was based on the 1957 Boy in the Box case - They solved it but don't know if in true life it was solved --------Marie G

    2. Hi Everyone, We have had quite abit of rain recently. The unfinished parts of our yard are red, gooey muck. We, also, had flash flood watch and tornado watches the other day. Still raining here and three more days to go. That is, if the weatherman has finally gotten it right. LOL Hope everyone is careful and stays safe until if dries up or thaws as the case may be. Pat

    3. Hi all, We are on Flood alert also here in Maryland. I live about 7 miles from the Potomac so other than the small streams on the property I don't think it will be bad for us. Ice has been bad, fell 5 times and my 4WD just slid sideways into a ditch, and I was going so slow! 2. Good to hear from you Robin.I pray that the flooding will not be bad in your area.We have snow, sleet, and freezing rain to go through tonight and tomorrow before the rain and flooding hit. This winter seems endless, and it is only early February. I missed you on the list, but did not realize your computer was down. Jim, It was good to hear from you ,too this week.I am glad Eileen's dental surgery is over. That is never a pleasant thing to go through. Is the weather getting worse in your area, too? It has seemed we have gotten some of your Canadian weather in Jersey this year! :-) Our "snowbirds"on the list may have the right idea! Jerilyn

Jim - I hope Eileen is healing - When I last wrote I made a terrible mistake in typing - I hope you did not read it - but the wonderful friends in this group consoled me and told me a lot of us make typos and that you would understand -- That flu is terrible to have - hope you are feeling better - my daughter Betsy called me today and I thought it was a man calling me - she has some respiratory bug and is rasping with her voice ---Marie G

    1. [NJ-Memories] hi
    2. Hello All, And how is this wonderful winter treating everyone? Had a real nice sunny day today in Pa it was so nice to drive and use the sun visor. I didn't even mind the cold weather sun makes me happy. I've been thinking about rubber stamping for a few years now but with all that I do now I think my honey will throw me out of the house. I do ceramics, quilting and make really nice photo albums for gifts like wedding, babies etc. Love to all..............ellen

    2. James Thorne
    3. Hi again all, My email has been down for ten days or so I haven't heard from anyone. Eileen had her teeth extracted two weeks ago. The stitches are out now but she is still able to eat only baby food, etc. I had the "flu" of something for nearly a week but am over it now. After the coldest January on record we are now into warm weather with light rain all day today. It will freeze again tonight and the walking will be treacherous for a while. Hope all is well with everyone. Jim from Prince Edward Island

    3. Hi Faith Ann - have been wondering about altered books - would you please explain the concept - I think it is something I might like to try. Am currently into decoupaging boxes with old newspapers (appropriate to the recipient). 2. Marie, Good luck with your art work. I have been thinking of doing some drawing myself. Haven't fulled with anything for years. Bought the book Art for Dummies. LOL, that's me. Will remember that you spray the paper first, hopefully. Thanks for sharing. Windy but beautiful here in La. today. Lot of rain yesterday morning and then the sun came out and it was beautiful. Cold weather due in this weekend. Have been watching the birdlife on the pond next to us. Blue heron, great white egret, several ducks and yesterday a red shouldered hawk in the back yard and field behind us. Man across the street wanted to shoot the ducks and I told my husband that guy would get a load of birdshot. So now the big joke is that I am protecting the ducks. We had a superbowl party and I was getting harrassed about the ducks. I think there is a federal law protecting herons. Thank God. Well, off to the store. Pat

    2. Hope all goes well with your visit - it is cloudy here in Mercer County - so glad the wind is not around us --nothing much doing here either - I bought fixitive for a picture I drew with graphite pencil - I didn't know that it should have been put on the paper before drawing - it was cold last nite - after I sprayed the sample paper I thought I would be all night smelling the darn thing - Had to keep a window open to let the fumes out - and I only gave a squirt of the stuff to the paper - well - next time I will spray outside ------I am new to this art stuff - I wouldn't use it but the drawing was going to smear without it -------it was a scene with a a farm house and little tiny horses in a field ---with a fence running across the field to keep the horses out - a small picture but I am starting to increase the size of the paper --------Marie G
