    3. Thank you Robin for thinking of me. I haven't been on the list for a very long time. In fact I just resubscribed last week. My dissertation has been taking up all of my time. I figure if I don't get it done now I'll be too old to walk up the aisle to get that sheepskin! :-) However, it is time for a break and what better way than to get back on NJM to see how everyone has been doing. Thanks again Robin for the birthday wish. Judy -- Judy Lamken Kilkee Kerries Chicagoland mailto:[email protected] Robin M. Stinson wrote: >Hello Everyone, > Guess What?????????? 1. [NJ-Memories] hi
    2. Hi All, Belated Happy St. Patricks Day to you all Irish and those who wish they were LOL. Spent my day at work but wore my green. Job is doing great but I just hate sending all these people to Florida and Vegas and Mexico while I sit here in another snowfall. Hopefully we'll get more 60 degree days soon and melt it all. My poor daffodils are just about ready to burst hope the snow didn't change their minds. I get home from work around 11:45pm so I'm too tired to write but do enjoy reading all your messages. Love Ellen

    1. [NJ-Memories] St. Patrick's Day
    2. James Thorne
    3. Hi All, First, thanks to those who wrote when I was sick. Like many families in the U. S. on this St. Patrick's Day, Eileen and I will have a boiled dinner of Corned Beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots. However, we are one of the few who will have that menu as it is not a tradition here in the Maritimes of Canada. We brought it from NJ. Nova Scotia is getting a heavy snow storm but we are being spared here on Prince Edward Island. However, we still have 18" of frozen snow on the level and drifts up to 5' high around our house. It is melting slowly but it will be a late spring. I am wondering how much you have left, Carl. I have recovered from the pneumonia but tire very easily and find every job a major project. We are in the frustrating process of trading our vehicle this week and are seriously looking at leasing. Anyone have any experience with leasing? I'm tired of the hassle of purchasing and trading every three years. Had planned to camp through West Virginia, Kentucky, down to Alabama then return up the east coast to Monmouth Co. and Sussex Co. NJ during May, but may delay until September, after Eileen has her dentures. Gas prices will also be a factor. I wonder if there is still a St. Patrick's Day parade in New York City. There must be. When I was a child we attended every year. As I recall, usually there were a few spring bulbs in bloom in New Jersey. Have fun! Jim

    2. Did anyone catch that movie Sunday nite with Kirstie Allie -----she played Brenda Geck ( real name was Frances Burt) who took in Foster kids - Community thought she was a pillar of the Community but a damn crook, physical and mental abuser of children- she kept a woman in the cellar till it made the woman go off - allowed her own husband to have his way with the imprisoned woman - had yard sales from property she had the children steal - this really happened in Providence, RI ---she was sent to jail in 1994 -------I really stayed awake and watched the 2 hour movie ------Marie G Happy St Paddy's Day to All

    2. "Robin asks what is on the menu" for an Irish Evening at the Henderson House. Corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, and carrots, served up with Irish soda bread, and a good rye, will be on the menu.Plenty of hot horseradish, and brown mustard will round out the table. The Irish jigs, and ballads will be playing on the stereo. Diesel will ask where the beer is,but that and Irish whiskey will be among the missing. Haven't decided on dessert as yet.Tom being a diabetic is limited to his choices.Any ideas,Jack? Jerilyn > Hi Everyone, > I was wondering where everyone was. Hi Jerilyn---Miss ya.
