    2. Carl - I know what losing a pet feels like - Sorry Nanook had to be put down ----In our newspaper story about a grooming place that had dryer attached to cage where dog was being dried -- it caught on fire - it was an Oster dryer and the owner of the dog is trying to get them outlawed - there also was hair in the dryer - the owner was bathing another dog while the dog who burned was being dry - she is sorry but she still claims she will continure to use the dryer - her business is slacking off - I wonder why -------------Marie G

    3. Hi Guys, I have been lurking aaaround but not feeling well. I had a Dodge Ram truck hit my gas tank, snaped off my wheel and messed up my bumper and peeled a lot of my metal on my car in that area. It was a hit and run. This guy even came back to the scene of the crime and on his 2 nd. time the police man was their to arrest him. He had his kids in this truck and his wife---I guess, Uem in my rear view mirror and then I looked again and he was gone. When they finally got him the Police went to his home and the kids and his wife said he hit me. To this day the guy denies it . He ran a stop sign and he looked loke he was going right at the sign and instead he suddenly made a sharp turn to the left I couldn't get over any further I also heard him put on the gas then he got me. Thank God I am OK. It was almost like I was in a bubble of protection. Either way I am taking the check to put down for a car for my son. He also has money of his own. Our credit is not all that great but God will provide a car. Also after the accident my friend I use to go to church with is giving me her Mini-Van on Aug 8th. Every thing has been fixed in the van so it will be like a new one. It is 1995 Dodge Caravan.. I am now waiting for the adjuseter to look at my car. I am going to see a Chiropractor this week. Will keep everyone posted. Please pray. If you all do not hear from me in the next 2 weeks someone please call me at: 704-599-4644 Talk Soon, Robin PS: My kidney is doing better but I will probably have to be on another round of Antibiotics. -------Original Message------- From: Franor Date: 07/12/04 22:04:16 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Re: [NJ-Memories] Back On Carl. 3. Worse part of this remembering is, I do. In the 30's everything was cheap, but so was our wages. I worked at the Level factory for 37cents an hr. Bread 15cents but what was the advantage, levels out today. Still would like to go back. I will say my hair got washed daily in the summer we swam in the Raritan River or at Lake Solitude. Winter? maybe best to forget. lol Norma ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kittie Ennis Lane" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, July 06, 2004 6:12 PM Subject: [NJ-Memories] Re: July 4th 1904 > Yes, we have come along way but are we really any better? > > Kittie in MD > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "L&R Foster" <[email protected]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Saturday, July 03, 2004 8:39 AM > Subject: July 4th 1904 > > > > What a difference a century makes! I look around and see the things she sent me, and I know how deeply I miss her. Glad of the new friends I now have off line or all would be very lonely. All is usually quiet, a tid bit and away they go. We need some men to come on again, kinda livens up the place. Let's see is Vernoy still in Morris co.? How's the farm in Orleans? 1. Hello All !
    2. James Thorne
    3. Hi All, I'm late responding. The big day here was July 1, Canada Day, but we didn't celebrate it. For the 4th of July I put out the U. S. flag, the Marine Corps flag, and two "Don't Tread On Me" Revolutionary War flags that are my personal favorites. It is very cold here on PEI. We have beewn into the low 70s only twice since returning from NJ in June. Yesterday when I went into town, natives and tourtist were all wearing winter coats with hoods up. Eileen and I just finished freezing 80 quarts of Spinach. Everything else will be late. While in NJ we visited the Twin Lights at Atlantic Highlands and Fort Hancock on Sandy Hook. That was the first time I had been at Fort Hancock since an open house at the end of WWII. Has anyone been there? Our son Matt and two other Marines are coming home this Saturday for a week before deployment to Iraq at the end of August. Miss hearing from everyone. Jim from Prince Edward Island, Canada.
