    1. Re: Where is everyone and hurricanes
    2. Hi, I am here, but not on much right now. My aunt and husband had two hurricanes go over Hutchinson Island, where they had just moved. First one looked bad by the pictures, but the second set of pictures didn't come through. Hear they just took their house off the market in NJ. Don't know if it is because of storms or because of their daughter's ill health. Prayers needed for Georgette in her 30's with two young children. She has Crohn's disease and has now developed lupus. Developed bacterial pneumonia and emergency surgery 2;30 Fri morning. She made the 48 hrs they allowed her for survival, but is still in guarded condition. Any prayers welcome. Thanks! Pat

    2. Diesel - Good to hear from you - I'm okay now but felt awful after I got a flu shot last week - I had a follow- up appointment with my doctor so while I was there I asked( the nurse who gives preliminary checkup before the doctor comes) in whether they had the flu serum and she said "NO we will be getting it at the end of the month - come in then" When the doctor came in to exam me I told him that the nurse said there was no flu serum - He said " Yes, we do have it " and he left order for her to give it to me - He didn't shut the door when he went out and I saw two drug salesmen going thru the hall with satchels that said Flu Serum - then while waiting for her I heard someone shout - give the flu shot in Room # 3 - I got up and looked at the door number - my room was #8 - then the nurse came in and believe me she was steaming - she had a Mad Puss on her face -this is the second time I went over her head but that is a bit for another time - I did feel under the weather from it which I don't have a reaction -but every year it is a different strain - I was going to go to the Nottingham Fire House to get it as I have been doing the past 3 yrs - and I am glad I got it from the doctor - for Wednesday nite on the Mercer County TV news stations it showed a long line outside - people were there at 7AM and the shots are not given until 10 - I do not know how the Senior Citizens could stand so long - Don't you dare go on anyone's roofs - My uncle who has lives in Daytona Beach came up here to visit his son - only was here a week and got very ill - he was in Robert Wood Johnson hospital for 2 weeks -then in Care One nursing home for therapy which he couldn't do - then at St Francis Hospice -died last Friday - Memorial Service will be tomorrow - My son-in-law's father lost his battle with a year of Leukemia and died last Saturday - I attended his funeral Wednesday -Both men also lost their wives this year - Hope you stay safe and well ------Marie G

    1. Still Here
    2. Hi, Great hearing from all of you again. I pray your all in good health. I'm still at home in the Pocono's, but plan to be in Florida with the rest of the Snow Bird's soon. My sister who I stayed with in Ft. Myers the past few winters, lost the use of her condo to all the storm's the past few weeks. The roof came off her place week's ago, and it still has not been replaced. She is waiting for the insurance company to estimate the damage. It's bad enough loosing every thing you own, but waiting for the insurance company to make up their mind's about who's paying for what, is very hard on her. I just remodeled her place last year, now it has to be done again. I've been told there's plenty of work waiting for me when I get there. There are 1,100 homes that need roof repair's in the Ft. Myers area. I'm much too old to be climbing on roof's, so I'll just pick the easy inside job's. All the tree's are turning color up here in the Pocono's, great time to get out and take some pictures. 3. Hi Dot and all, Except for Dot, I haven't heard from anyone for a long time. Here on Prince Edward Island we are awaiting the arrival of the combination of tropical storm "Nicole" and another storm coming in from the west. Hope it is nothing like "Juan" was a year again. Our son Matt is still in Iraq with a Marine Corps MI unit but phones us once a week, as he did an hour ago. The temperatures "near Baghdad" have cooled down here to 95 to 100 and they are l chilly. Here we have had a beautiful and warm and dry September so far, which is good as everything in the flower beds and garden are at least three weeks late this year. Winter will come soon, so I am busy doing all the last minutes preparations including hand splitting half a cord of firewood and stacking two more cords when they come tomorrow. I finally decided that I have shoveled enough snow and bought a snow blower this week. Bought a new digital camera (Canon Power Shot A75) so I can send photos without waiting eight or ten months to have the film to be used up and printed. Wished I had it when I was in New Jersey last spring. So much I remember and would like to photograph. Where is everyone else? Jim from Prince Edward Island..
