=~= Project Announcement =~= VETERANS of the WAR of 1812 The New Jersey Society of the War of 1812 has launched a project to locate as many gravesites as possible of Veterans of the War of 1812 buried in New Jersey. We are asking all Historical and Genealogical organizations to join with us in this project by advising us of gravesites that they know or can locate through their research. We also intend to contact as many New Jersey cemeteries as possible to determine if they can provide any information. We are open to any and all suggestions concerning locations of information that will assist with this project. If possible, we hope to place a marker on each grave that can be identified. Please provide the name of the Veteran, any military information available about his service, the cemetery location (county, city/town, and latitude/longitude), the location of the gravesite in the cemetery and any gravestone or other information that is available. We do not expect every gravesite discovery will have all the information shown above, but we ask that the maximum information available be transmitted to us. Information can be sent to the address listed below as can any questions or suggestions. Robert J.
