This email letter would be a good one to send to the assembly women who are trying to pass this bill into law. Concerning Robert Raffords article. Restricting access to vital records will do nothing to eliminate the insider theft of records. In cases where proof of identity is legitimately required, only certified documents should be accepted. This simple step eliminates the problem with uncertified copies. Those who claim copies of vital records have led to identity theft should be required to document individual cases. If it is so common there should be numerous court cases. I have not heard of any. The cases I have heard of have been the result of theft from or hacking of computer databases of financial institutions. This law does nothing to solve that problem.
