    3. OK, Anne Marie, I'll try to earmark your message. I've had a long day at the computer chasing ancestors so it's about time to turn in. Good luck in your search efforts. You may not be successful every day but we all have to pay that price to win a prize now and then. 3. Terri, by now you too have received a bundle of genealogical gifts from our New Jersey counterparts. Family genealogists like us and all the others know what each other has to face when searching so everyone helps us out. What a great team we play on. Did you stock up food and drink? Is your refrigerator loaded and do you have an adequate heat supply and a teddy bear to cuddle? Anyway, I hope the storm spares you and that at lasts a brief time and the sun shines and the wind will only be at your back. 3. Michelle: Would you mind describing the procedure you used to get those records you have described. Here are a few questions: Did you send a letter or e-mail your requests? If e-mail, do you have the address, the same for doing it by mail? Was the cost based on an hourly basis? How long did it take to get a response? 2. Hi Helen There is something different and special about genealogy people. The journey began with curiosity and became a passion. I have been helped all along by others who have had their own searches. I praise Google and the GSNJ, and those who were kind enough to send me complete information that I had been seeking. Do you know when the next GSNJ conference will be? Thank you again, Helen. Ann Marie

    3. Have any old newspapers from the 1800s been made available, especially in Monmouth County that would list birth, marriage, and/or death records of our ancestors? Also, if the newspaper records are not available, have any collections ever appeared in book form, especially preceding the official recording of such records in New Jersey? In addition, were there any efforts to publish church record vital statistics? My particular concern is with Monmouth County. Ken

    3. Ken and Listers - I, too, am at the place where church records might prove helpful and would be interested in what's out there. Hopefully, available online. I think I've reached the place where that "might" be where I find my elusive Sylvanus?????? Bless his heart! :))) Keep well - Terri in WA, that's gonna get all sorts of weather this week - including predicted 2 ft. of snow in our mountain passes! Travel will be dicey!!
