    1. Re: [GSNJ] Genealogical Miracle
    2. Ken You are right to proceed with caution. I think you were referring to a match on World Ancestry Tree at Ancestry.com. I would go to Rootsweb.com and search for the name of the matching individual. They access the same trees as Ancestry.com but I prefer Rootswebs search engine and format. I would look for the following things. 1 Does the family tree include sources other then references to family trees found on the internet? Vital records, Wills, Deeds, or published sources. 2 Does the family tree include notes, additional information about the individual? This is a sign that the submitter has done their own research. 3 With the new found names I would do my own research. Can I find documents that verify what is on the tree? At some point my confidence level would be high enough that I would be willing to accept the rest of the tree but I would still try do find documentation supporting the tree all the way back. World Family Tree provides the name of the submitter and the email address in script that they used when they posted the tree. You can also add a “Postum” note to the name of the individual that is a match. The submitter will be notified. 3. Dear Anne Marie, You voluntarely recieved the chip. There is suppose to come a day when everyone will be REQUIRED to have one. It will eventually be used for everythiing. Maryann Clark Bracca@aol.com wrote: Hi Mary Ann Hope you have heard by now that Dubai is selling that part of their contract relating to our ports to a USA company. The American Public was heard, and will always be heard. Unfortunately, there might not be an American Company capable to do the job - and we do not want Halliburton, do we? During time of war, there are many things the public does not and might never know. Our parents accepted that during WW II and during the Korean War. Some things made public brought aid to the enemy. That used to be considered treason. We must consider that some of our freedoms are being eroded not by the government as it exists, but by thieves and terrorists and other enemies of our country. Economic war is something that is creeping up on the frontline, i.e., the price of oil. The medical implant is vital to the survival of people like me. I am highly allergic to aspirin, and to penicillen. I hope I can get one. I do not see that as a loss of privacy, or something that would hurt me in any way. For searchers, the loss of information is a great loss. It is also a great loss to me that I cannot use my credit card info on the internet no matter how safe they say it is; that my granddaughter cannot wait alone at the bus stop; that I cannot carry too much personal information in my purse; that it took four pieces of identification to get a new driver's license just to get on a plane. There are some things that we have to learn to live with, and loss is one of the hardest. Thanks for your comments. 1. Re: [GSNJ] Take Notes Everywhere.....
    2. H Gail Talk about history! They went west for the Gold Rush. What a good idea, to take notes. Hope somebody who is searching will find one or both of them. We went to the graveyard of the First Presbyterian Church in Cranbury, looking for a relative, and came to the graves of our family in one plot. We did not want to leave. It is as though Sadie Dey Thomas and William Henry Thomas had brought us there. As I looked at the other graves, I recognized names of people who had come to her daughter' wedding, Lizzie Chamberlain Thomas. The newspaper had printed the entire wedding list - which I found in a family bible, rotting with glue to a page. Now I know that we can find the residents of that graveyard on a web site. What stories we can tell. Ann Marie

    3. It's a matter of definition, Jeanine. Actually, we who are older remember how Hitler's fascists consolidated power and took control of Germany the same way; and they hated socialists and communists. But, this has little to do with genealogy, except to point out how we can lose access to family records because of our oligarchy's paranoia. And now, back to genealogy. ----- Original Message ----- From: "maryann clark" <mrmc4540@yahoo.com> To: <NJ-GSNJ-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 09, 2006 12:19 PM Subject: Re: [GSNJ] Direct links Information Is Power > Hello to all, > > I agree whole heartedly with Jeanine and all she had to say. > > Maryann > > jmatt413@comcast.net wrote: > Casey, > This was posted by someone else quite recently. 3. Look up the definition of fascism in your Mirriam Webster's. Then think carefully about each element of the definition and think about whether or not such signs have appeared in our country in the last five years. I recently saw a t-shirt that read: "If you aren't totally appalled, you haven't been paying attention." We should all be paying very close attention. These are unique and dangerous times. maryann clark wrote: >Being inspired by the "Power Article,: > > has anyone out there heard about the computor chip implant for identity purposes that has been mentioned in the past? The scanner gets the man's code number. > This was being done in Miami, Florida. > > Also predicted is a whole world monetary system with the World Bank being in Germany.
