Re. #16 - I'm guessing "Hackstown" is really Hackettstown, in Warren Co., since it is grouped with Drakestown which is an area nearby, sort of between Budd Lake and Hackettstown. (Not to be confused with Drakesville, in Roxbury Twp., Morris Co., which is now called Ledgewood.) Warren Co. was set off from Sussex Co. in 1824. In "Historical Collections of the State of New Jersey" by Barber and Howe, pub. 1844, in the section on Independence Twp., Warren Co., it says " Hackettstown, on the Musconetcong creek, 17 m. NE. of Belvidere, was founded previous to the American revolution and derives its name from Mr. Samuel Hackett, a large landholder." Shirley in Ohio, but from NJ
