Hi Friends : Maybe I am a pest but still working on marriage info for my MULLER line in New York in the late 1880s. I have looked until my eyes ache for this info & now once again appeal to you for help on another member. A Hannah ( Anna , Johanna etc )married a man named LaFever sometime before August 23 , 1896 a date taken from a letter to Hannah in Allegheny City ( Pittsburgh ) PA . The Bride Index does not show anything that matches either one of 2 entries for LaFever in NY that may have been her husband . It may be possible that they married in NJ since it was across the River from Manhattan. Can anyone help us on this ? We do not know the first name of LaFever & only know that they were living in PA on the date of the letter. He was then in NY looking for work at that time . Any Magicians out there ?? Thanks PS I forgot to say Hannahs maiden name was MULLER . George & Gwen George D Craig Former RAOGK Volunteer Beaver County , PA
Hi George, Have you tried to check the 1890 directory for Philadelphia? Give this a go...http://olddirectorysearch.com There are a few LeFevre listed I didn't check the Muller's. If you know the church affiliation that would be another source. ----- Original Message ----- From: "George Craig" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, May 12, 2007 7:21 AM Subject: [NJ] need more help > Hi Friends : Maybe I am a pest but still working on marriage info for my > MULLER line in New York in the late 1880s.
