Hello, My ancestor was Isaiah Bowker, of Mt. Holly, Burlington Co NJ. He is said to have married Martha BRANNIN at St. Andrews Church, Mt. Holly, NJ. They left NJ in 1805 to settle at Salem, Columbiana Co Ohio. Salem, OH is famous for having been settled in 1803 to 1800 by QUAKERS from NJ, MD, PA, VA. Isaiah Bowker founght in the War of 1812 from a group formed at Salem, Ohio, and he died there and is buried. His daughter Mary Bowker b. 1795 Burlington Co NJ married in 1826 to James W. Leach in Salem, Oh. They are my ancestors. James and Mary are both buried at Salem, OH. I do not know the parents of Martha Brannin, nor do I know the parents of Isaiah Bowker.
