    3. Well, Good Morning...I'll jump right in here with a request for GIBBS probably up to 1800. I have been researching them in Westmoreland County where a will was proven in 1776, however when some land was sold in 1780 the widow Elizabeth and son Hugh (executors) were in Cumberland County. Now, I am thinking they were originally from Cumberland County. I would appreciate any help on these rascals as I am new to Cumberland research.     3. The GIBBS were originally from Long Island,New York. There was an ANDREW GIBBS who came to New Jersey ca. 1670.
