The Jonesboro Sun Jonesboro, AR March 9, 1998 Mrs. Nicks Mrs. Dorothy Louise Nance Nicks, 85, of Newport, died Saturday at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Clifford Nicks Sr.; one son, Clifford Nicks Jr. of Anson Texas; two daughters, Wilma Kennedy of Yellville and Mary Lou Tao of West Chester, Pa.; one brother, Phillip Nance of Beedeville; three sisters, Irma Atkison of Parkin, Charlotte Herndon of Beedeville and Mildred Tucker of Atlanta; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceeded in death by one daughter, Sandra Grantham, and one grandson. Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon at 2 at the Beedeville Church of Christ, with burial following in Eightmile Cementery under the direction of Jackson's Newport Funeral Home. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Sandra Nicks Grantham Memorial Scholarship Fund at Rochester College in Rochester Hills, Mich.
