Hello, April 17, 1998 There have been many new subscribers on this list since I joined. Most of you tend to be looking for the Nix family down in the southern states.. My g g grandfather, Christian Frederick Nix and wife, Magdalena Weiderspahn Nix came from Germany after the Civil War. We believe they had 14 or 15 children. My g grandfather, John Baptist Nix, was next to the youngest. They came from Germany to New York to Jasper County, Illinois to farm. I'm attaching information about the family.
