Thursday, April 23, 1998 Bryan/College Station (Texas) Eagle Eugene Nix Oct 1, 1941-April 14, 1998 Houston- Services for Eugene Nix, 56, of Houston were held at 11am, Monday at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Bryan. The Rev. F. G. Ford officiated. Burial was in Clayton Cemetery in College Station. Stripling Funeral Home in Houston handled the arrangements. \Mr. Nix died April 14 in Houston. He was born in Burleson County and had lived in Houston for 36 years. He was a licensed barber/legal technician. He was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Bryan. Survivors include his wife, Almacesa Nix of Houston; a son, Gary Wayne Nix of Chicago ILL; a daughter, Tangee Renne Nix Tart of Houston, a brother, Clint Nix of Bryan, two sisters, Betty Britton of Houston and Doris Connerway of Bryan; his mother, Juanita Nix of Bryan ; and three grandchildren.
