Dear Nixes, My ancestor, Elijah Nix (born ca. 1790; died ca. 1848), died before the 1850 census was taken, making research more difficult. In 1850 census his children were living with various families in Catahoula Parish, LA. How does he tie in with Edward Nix and wife Eunice Gibson Nix Veneable, if at all? Elijah Nix and Elijah Hammock were executors/administrators for the estate of an Edward Nix, 20 July 1816, in Twiggs Co., Georgia. Who was this Edward Nix?
