Aberdeen Examiner Aberdeen, MS April 22, 1998 HAMILTON - Services were held Tuesday, April 21, for Fonnie Corrine Nix Bell, 89, who died Sunday. April 19, 1998, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. A lifelong resident of Monroe County, she was born Oct. 21, 1908, to Charlie E. and Florence Angle Nix. She was a homemaker and a retired employee of South Monroe Sportswear. She was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. The funeral was held at 2 p.m. at the Center Hill Baptist Church with Dr. James Towery officiating. Burial was in the Center Hill Cemetery with Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in charge ofthe arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Ellen Crump of Hamilton; two sons, Gene Bell and his wife, Lanell of Macon, Ga., Ed Bell and his wife, Jewell, of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Lorene Basham of Amory; nine grandshildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Eugene Bell; one son, Loyd Bell; her parents. Memorials are requested to go to the Center Hill Baptist Church Building Fund. Pallbearers were Durwood House, Loyd Baggett, John Robers, Jim Tipton, Donnie Irvin and Mitch Mitchell.
