I have recently found some new info regarding my NIX family and am hoping with this new info someone will recognize this family. Eldridge Nix moved his family from Arkadelphia, Ark to Jewell, Eastland co, Tx in 1846. His youngest daughter Mary Julia Nix stated in an article she wrote for the WPA program that her mother died right after arriving in Eastland co. and she was raised by her older sisters. Eldridge Nix had a 160 acre stock farm in Jewell, Eastland co, Tx. Thank you, Bev
