Hi Wanda - I talked with Wanda Gregory this afternoon by phone - I had sent her copy of the note sent by Paula Coffee the other day, since I knew Wanda had worked a good bit on the Micajah Walker line. Also read her the following E-mail from Holland Walker. Wanda thinks Valentine is not the son of Edward, and grandson of John Nix. Edward had a son Valentine, but this is not the correct one - way too old to be the right son. I've asked her to call me back and outline this family & will try to post when she does so. She also requested the addresses of Paula Coffee & Holland Walker, so she can correspond with them. Thanks, Faye Poss ------------------------------- The following note was sent by a non-subscriber to the Nix-L. I am forwarding per his request. >Date: Wed, 30 Sep 1998 07:02:35 -0400 >To: WalkerEng@aol.com >From: Wanda Rabb <wcr@netunlimited.net> >Subject: Re: Nix-Walker >>Hi Paula , >> >>Your message was forwarded to me and I am interested in finding out more >>about >>Micajah and Rebecca Walker plus the connection with the Nix family . >> >>I descend from a marriage of Peter Walker (b. 1797) and Mary Pauline Nix (b. >>1800). >> >>We know that Mary Pauline was the daughter of Valentine Nix who was a son of >>Edward Nix and grandson of John Nix . >> >>What we don't know are the parents of Peter Walker .
