Hi Kathy, Maybe this will only add to your confusing mass of info. I have a John William NIX b. about 1797, married to Betty SPRATT about 1814. Their daughter, Amanda Jane NIX, (1826-1875) married William Thomas LEEPER (1823-1910/18?). I was struck by the middle name William, wondering whether he is a son or nephew.
