    3. Well, lets see. There are some close clues here. From a fmily bible I get Joseph P. Nix as the patriarch of this family, but no dates or locations. His wife is Laura Bell Hanes. That's awfully close to your James Robert Nix and Sarah Ann Haines. Your John Peter Nix m. Lydia Annie Alison 8 Jan 1878 My John Peter Nix married Lydia May Allison, but their first born , Thomas Allen, was born 5 May 1895 in Erath Co. TX. That's seventeen years after yours got married. It appears that James Robert Nix, Jr. ( my title ) b. 1859 died 1928 was divorced just as his father was. Does that jive with what you have found? There seems to be about five lines of Nix that have ended up in Texas, and there does not seem to be a connection for them in this country, (USA). It is spooky sometimes to see the same names over and over, but in differant lines. Your Nix line does not tie in with anything I have seen, or collected. But, you never know when some thread will appear that will tie some of them together. Good Hunting Larry
