In my MOST MIXED UP LINE, I found John Peter Nix born 4 Feb 1854 in (Carlton, Hamilton, TX was marked out) Rapides Parish, LA.--married Lydia Annie Alison 8 Jan 1878 in Hamilton Co, TX. Parents of John Peter Nix: James Robert Nix (Aug 1828-8 Jan 1928) and Sarah Ann Haines (c1836): divorced as per 1900 Hamilton Co., TX census. Children of JAMES ROBERT NIX & SARAH ANN HAINES were: 1. Allen D. Nix (1849-bef 1860) born Catahoula Parish, LA 2. John Peter Nix (4 Feb 1854-?) m. Lydia Annie Alison 8 Jan 1878, born Rapides Parish, LA 3. Wm. Edward Nix (15 June 1859- 8 Jan 1928), m. Martha "Mattie" J., born Erath Co., TX 4. James Robert Nix (6 May 1859-8 Jan 1928), born Carlton, Hamilton Co., TX., died Tarrant Co., TX--file # 4051 5. Laura Ann Nix (15 June 1860-?), born Carlton, Hamilton Co., TX In 1900 Hamilton Co,. TX census, James R. Nix, age 71, was living with his son, William E. Nix. He was divorced. I have a note that James Robert Nix and Sarah Ann Haines divorced before 1876. If this makes any sense to you, please help straighten me out. I have further info on second wife (Mattie Childs McDougal) and children of James Robert Nix, but it is more confusing that the above. Is this the line you were looking for.
