I was wondering the same thing Kay. I am looking for a John Nix/Nicks married to Louise Maude Linley they had a son born 12/28/1915 in Hollis ,OK . I know nothing of John. My grandmother Louise destroyed everything with his name on it after my dad was born. I have corresponded with Ok for 2 years trying to get my dads birth certificate and the last letter I got from them they are asking for a court order to change my fathers name to Baby Boy Nix/Nicks. Which would require hireing a lawyer in Ok. Louise lived in Childress TX and Chillicothe Tx which is not far from Hollis ,Ok. I was wondering if anyone researching Nix in this area might be able to help me. Thanks Ann
