Hi, Ann! I was born in Childress Co., TX, and my great grandmother was Narcissa Isabell "Bell" Nix, born 1861 in Catahoula Parish, LA; died 1951 in McClain Co.,. OK; married Charlie Robert Faulkenberry 1881 in Kaufman Co., TX; most children were born in Hamilton Co., TX. Bell Nix had a brother, John Edward Nix (1858-1924) who moved to Memphis, Hall Co., TX. One of his sons, Lewis Cash Nix (1898-1974) moved to Cordell, Washita Co., OK. Washita Co., OK is northeast of Hollis, Harmon Co., OK., with one county in between. I don't know if there is a connection, but if you think there might be, I can put you in touch with a descendant of John Edward Nix. Blessings!
