Topeka Capital-Journal - Topeka KS July 4, 1998 LaMONTE MO -- Charles A NIX, 61, died Saturday, July 4, 1998, at a Warrensburg MO hospital. Mr Nix was a woodworker, upholsterer and barber, and he worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co for many years. He was an Air Force veteran. He was born Oct 17, 1936, in Calhoun Co Miss, the son of Charles and Marie MOSER NIX. Mr Nix was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church at Sedalia MO. He was married to Karen ROTHERS on Mar 6, 1951, at Bartlesville OK. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Britta Sue WHITAKER, Overland Park (KS), and Donice Marie BROWNING, Topeka (KS); his mother, Marie MOSER, Bruce MS; five brothers, Mike NIX, Mountain Home AR, Bobby NIX, Jackson MS, John NIX, Bruce MS, Mark NIX, Coldwater MS, and Joe NIX, Atlanta; and a sister, Rebecca WINTERS, Hernando MS. Services will be at 9am Monday at the Moore Funeral Home in LaMonte. Burial will be at 2:30pm Monday in the Corning KS cemetery. Relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8:30pm today at the funeral home.
