I am researching the Nix/Sanders family from Barnwell Co., SC. I found marriage records for a Hugh Sanders and Nathaniel Sanders in "Marriages in Barnwell Co., SC." Hugh married Elizabeth Nix in 1821 and Nathaniel married Georgiana Jeter in 1840. Hugh Sanders (born c1792 in SC) and Elizabeth (b. c1792 in SC) "appear" to be Nathaniel's parents. A Hugh Sanders shows on the 1840 census of Barnwell Co., SC. Then in 1850 and 1860, Hugh Sanders with wife Elizabeth and Nathaniel with wife Georgiana show on census of Rapids Parish, LA.
