Monday, January 26, 1998 Arkansas Democrat Gazette BENTON-- Gladys HUDSON NIX of Benton died Saturday morning in her home. She was 85. She was born April 9, 1912 in Dallas County. She was married to D.W. Nix of Benton for 63 years. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, Homemakers Extension Club, and Good Sam's. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Loretta Mavis Nix. She is survived by her husband, D. W. Nix; a daughter, Daisy Fowler; son, Charles Nix and his wife, Ann Nix, all of Benton; three granddaughters, Melissa Fowler of Benton, Karen Small of Wicks, Shannon Brooks; one grandson, Bryan Nix of Benton; one great grandson, Anthony Small, and two great grand daughters, Audrie Small and Shelby Brooks. Funeral Services will be held at 1p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1998 at Roller Ballard Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at Old Cypress Cemetery in Willow, Ark. Family visitation will be at the funeral home today, Jan. 26, from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Tommy Hudson, James Hudson, Sonny Hudson, Danny McDonald, David Thomas, Larry Portifield, and Bob Sullivan. Memorials may be made to Saline Memorial Hospice or new Hope United Methodist Church in Benton.
