    3. >From the: Traverse City Record Eagle, January 5, 2004 Forest Williams Died January 2, 2004 NORTH MUSKEGON - Forest Williams, 76, of North Muskegon and formerly of Traverse City, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, at his home. He was born on June 18, 1927, in Homestead Township of Benzie County. Forest had been a construction contractor prior to his retirement and had served our country as a member of the U. S. Army during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and enjoyed shooting pool for his entertainment. Forest is survived by his daughter, Lisa Williams of Traverse City, a son, Jim Williams of California; a granddaughter, Tory Williams of Traverse City and his close friend, Verbina King of North Muskegon. Forest was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Emma (Moby) Koon; and by his wife, Freda, in 1975. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. Visitation will take place Tuesday evening, Jan. 6, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
