First off...Thank you for all the wonder filled web sites!!! I have been very busy with the holidays and checked my email to day to find 98 new messages....I am now finished with looking at all the emails and book marking all the sites!!! The Mackinac site is fabulous!!! Chi Miigwetch for all the hard work! I will have a lot of fun this weekend reading and looking at all the great sites sent. I love to listen to storytellers! I have learn much. I too, watched Dream Keeper...I found that it showed native people as human, it explained well why we have an oral tradition...the stories were fantastic! My favorite part was the most true...it is not about cleaning up the alcoholic father and making him a better person, it is about WHO will be the warrior in his place...fight to stay clean and on the red road...it is not an easy road to walk. To keep and live our beliefs and our faith in today's world is not easy...however the spiritual rewards are far greater than any money could ever buy...I also liked the fact that in the end...we all come home. If you ever get the chance to meet a Storyteller, offer him/her tobacco and ask if he/she would come to your place and tell stories...invite relatives over and put on a lunch...maybe a fire outside...I am having a Storyteller come to my house toward the end of this month...I am inviting all the little kids...and their parents...hahahaha Happy New Year!!! May this year bring us all a wealth of love, peace and joy...oh...and maybe find us some lost relatives...Biidasinookwe (Anna) ===== Thoughts... The gift of happiness belongs to those who unwrap it.The person who is looking for faults should look in a mirror. A person shows what they are by what they do with what they have.
