    3. thx carol, next question is, where is mt. pleasant? the reason why is because i'm not from michigan but ohio and on the east side now(toledo originally). but the chamberlands for me were from detroit and monroe(french town). dates are approximatly 1790-now. starting with joseph chamberland. he is listed in the early families of the detroit river area. have found nothing on his parents or where he originated from. as to larose, i only know that there was a birth in detroit in 1770 and marraige to chamberland in 1790. her name was josephine larose, born to a frenchman larose and native woman.listed w/ joseph in same book as daughter of a savage. her cemetary records say same about parents. i have a direct line filled in to now and back to france through quebec. i am trying to fill in some blanks that are holding some things up. my wife is blackfeet and our children are having a naming ceremony and i need to fill in my back ground for them and our elders. thx, jim --- Carol Lalonde Hamp <carolhamp@voyager.net> wrote: > There are native american chamberlands in the Mt. > Pleasant chippewa Indians.
