    3. When I was at the Monroe Co. HIstorical Museum doing some research, several years ago, I ran into some people doing research on the Navarres and they gave me a copy of their family newsletter. They appeared to be very organized. I don't know if they still have a newsletter but here is the address on the newsletter. Maybe you could write and get some help. I believe the mans name was Ira Gold. Navarre Family Association 2220 McGregor Blvd. #120 Fort Myers, Florida 33901 Good luck, deb in MI ************************************** Debbie Bert <debbiebert@ameritech.net> ************************************** What you accept, you teach. > -----Original Message----- > From: Judith McLeod [mailto:jamcleod@carolina.rr.com] > Sent: Thursday, November 20, 2003 9:34 PM > To: NISHNAWBE-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [NISHNAWBE] Navarre Line > > > Yes! 1. [NISHNAWBE] Navarre Line and couture
    2. james mayberry
    3. not sure if this helps but here it goes. for couture i have a claude couture who married cathrine chamberland around 1820-1830 in monroe county and moved to ohio to start a church and mission. it was around the davis-besse nuclear power plant area. sry my files were destroyed in flood in august and havn't recieved my copies yet. as to navarre, try checking with the lucas county library in toledo. i know navarre was 1 of the families that started oregon and jerusalem twsp. its been 6 yrs since i was in toledo so i dont remember the name of the town but its about 15-20 miles east of toledo on the anthony wayne trail (cant remember state route number). there is a museum/library by toledo that has the info on all the families that originated oregon and jerusalem twsp. my mom is still in toledo so i'll call her if anyone wants more info. hope this helps someone.
