    3. Jennifer, Paul's parents were Jean Baptiste Suliere and Margaret Bazinet. Jean was an employee of the North West Fur Company in 1805. Paul had a brother Joseph that I know of, no date of birth or other info. Paul married Anglique St John, whos Ojibwe name was Andeg meaning Crow. She was the daughter of Francois St Jean and Nindanokwe Buffalo. She was born at Chippewa Falls, January 29, 1830 and died at Red Cliff Reserve on Sept 27, 1903. She's buried at Bayfield WI. She married Paul Soulier who was a mixed French and Chippewa born in Michigan CA 1821, He died November 8, 1891 and is buried at Red Cliff, WI. Paul's mother was a half-blood Chippewa woman named Agawatassi, meaning "Shadow", or Margaret Bazinet, daughter of a Northwest Fur Company employee named Jean Baptiste Bazinet. The name of Paul's father uncertain and Paul and his brother Joseph lived for a time at the Indian Mission at L'Anse Michigan. These are notes per Linda Bristol, compiled 1995-St John/St Jean family-Descendants of Chief Buffalo. Angeliques' mother Nindanokwe Buffalo, means My Daughter, aka Mowissi Buffalo, was the daughter of Chief Great Buffalo, and she was probably born ca 1795. She died about 1850, age unknown. She married Francois St Jean, a white Canadian, who was born ca 1787 who died at LaPointe on April 2, 1847. -----Original Message----- From: Jennifer Dwire [SMTP:dwire@mnns.com] Sent: Monday, September 22, 2003 9:49 AM To: NISHNAWBE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [NISHNAWBE] Soulier I have no idea what the name is- I just have it down as Mon din iash. It cuts off after that- but his wife Angelique (Andeg) traces back to John St.John & Mosie Buffalo- then her dad- Old Chief Buffalo. I think when I got this family tree they messed up on Mosie though- I have researched and I have never found a Mosie Buffalo- I think they meant Rosie. I am a direct lineal decendant to Buffalo on my moms side. Jennifer At 07:35 AM 9/22/2003 -0500, you wrote: >Is the Mon din iash Catherine Bazinet?
