Hi, I'm not quite sure if this is helpful, but just yesterday I saw in the Mackinac Register a baptism witnessed by John Deny, 27 August 1839. I'll translate it (the priest's hand is not good) if it's something you need. Also, forgive me, but the Denys were Abraham, Martin, and John? Janice Came across the following for Abraham Denny http://www.angelfire.com/tx4/oneida/page5.html An only sister, Dolly, married John Denny, father of Abr'm Denny, who was Mrs. JACOB DOXTATOR'S informant. This JOHN DENNY was of a Mohawk mother & his father, Louis Denny was a French captive, taken in the Mackinaw region, with his brother Martin - & was seperated from the latter at Niagara Falls, who was never heard of after. and also: Dolly Doxtator, who married John Denny, died a few months, perhaps 3 months - before her mother. Larry Friend (Black Buffalo) friend@2z.net EDUCA'TION, n. [L. educatio.] The bringing up, as of a child, instruction; formation of manners. Education comprehends all that series of instruction and discipline which is intended to enlighten the understanding, correct the temper, and form the manners and habits of youth, and fit them for usefulness in their future stations. To give children a good education in manners, arts and science, is important; to give them a religious education is indispensable; and an immense responsibility rests on parents and guardians who neglect these duties.
