Are there any stories of children adopted by non native americans? We know from tradition that Jessie Strokal was native american adopted by Joseph and Josephine Strokal in WI. She was baptized at St mary's catholic church in Tomakawk WI and grew up in Masonville MI. Her picture and baptismal record are on ancientfaces.com. WI cant find any records of her adoption and we are at a dead end. She was about a year old when adopted and were told she had an older brother who was adopted by another family possibly canadian.
