While Charles Melanson and Marie Dugas are direct line to me as 8th great grandparents I have not really researched them yet. I did find an impressive page to Melanson line at: www.gregor.ca/Acadia/Melanson/melansons-gen1.htm a search for MELANSON "Pierre LAVERDURE" came up with 164 hits on google.com a search for 1616 "Abraham DUGAS" came up with 242 hits on google.com The info does seem to be correct.
