We have no letter F in Anishnaabe language so it must be some other tribe -----Original Message----- From: Nimrodkiss@aol.com [mailto:Nimrodkiss@aol.com] Sent: Tuesday, December 16, 2003 11:23 AM To: NISHNAWBE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [NISHNAWBE] Ojibway Language Hi I wonder if you would do me a favor and ask your learned friend a question for me. My grandfather said that when his grandparents were playing cards that his grandfather would yell at his grandmother (not the correct spelling) TED A FEDDY. He then said that grandma would sometimes cheat at cards. My thought is if I could figure out what language they were speaking maybe I could figure what trip they belong to. I believe they came from Ohio, Ontario which is north of Lake Superior. Thanks Jan Gouin Miigwech on the info............
