Gary, your message was very interesting to me, because I am trying to find out if Ezekial and Louise ever had a daughter named Elizabeth. She had not been listed among his many children, but that far back, who knows if she was forgotten. What I am really trying to find is the Elizabeth who married Ambrose R Davenport about 1795 to 1798. He was in the US army stationed on Mackinac Island. Both Ambrose and Elizabeth lived on the Island until they died. Two of their sons, Ambrose, Jr. and William were in the fur trade and married Chippewa women out past the west end of Lake Superior. I will appreciate hearing from you or anyone else. Lee Edwards

Hi Larry; This site on Ambrois Davenport is included on the web page that Terry and I did regarding Mackinac History. I believe it is under the architecture section. We really haven't added anything new as of yet, but in case some of you missed the link after we put the page up just before Christmas; you might want to check it out. The URL is as follows: http://www.rootsweb.com/~mimacki2/page1.html Anyone with ideas on how we can improve the site, your comments are certainly welcome. Anyone wanting to display their family genealogies can also contact us. Enjoy your day. Cindy "Larry F. Attention James Lalone: Samuel Lalonde born about 1845, parents were Francis Lalonde and Mary Ogea. They lived on Mackinac Island for a few decades. Samuel married Ella (Ellen) Maria (Mary) Orme. She was 31 years of age at the time of their marriage and believed to have been a widow. Ellen was living in Cheboygan County by 1880. Did Samuel die in Cheboygan as Ellen was remarried once more by 1880? Although I am not connected to this family I am inquiring on behalf of someone who is. Would you please elaborate on this family as you do so many times for us, and most adequately at that. Thank you so much, Jim!! Susann
