I am doing family research on Ottawas with surname Gould who lived in that part of the UP from 1860 onward. I wonder if they had anything to do with the naming of Gould City.

I don't know how much help this will be but in the 1950-70's I remember a Family with the name of Gould that lived in St. Ignace, really can't tell you much more.
