Thanks Jim, I'm not to familiar with lineage formats so bear with me, here is what I do know; Amos can be found in the Denver Township school district records from 1894-1906 I believe. He attended with his sister Martha who died in May 1902 of pneumonia. Her parents are listed on the death cert. as Nancy Morry and Mr. Silas. I do know that Amos married as Amos Elk to Mary Ob a wa kum in 1908. His parents are listed as unknown and she lists J. Ob a wa kum as father and mother unknown. (original marriage license) Their children are Thomas, Eliza and Morris (d. in infancy). His son Thomas filled out his death cert. listing John Silas as his father but Amos never gave info as to who his parents were so not sure that is correct. Another strange fact from Nancy's death cert. is that William Wabinaw is the informant and lists her father as Jacob Bro(a)ke(i)ns (it's hard to read) and her mother as Mary last name unknown. What his relation to her is I don't know. But I do know that the Mary that Amos married also used Wabinaw. Nancy died from labored pneumonia due to exposure! to the cold, and is buried in the Indian cem. in Isabella Township. Anything you can find would be helpful. Thanks again and miigwetch, Kimi Jo -------------- Original message -------------- > Here is what I have on the family (not much- additions, correction > appreciated, thanks, Jim. > > 1st Family: > 1.
